Southwestern indigenous life

Roy M. Walters Jr. and the Mystic Canyon Studio, the contemporary Native American Artist and studio in Northern Arizona, are well known for the uncanny ability to capture indigenous life of the South West in fine Navajo art.

Unique Indian life and culture

The studio's artifacts range in subjects such as typical life and unique culture within the immediate area which includes, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

The collection of Navajo art includes subject matter native to the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Sioux and Cheyenne Indian lifestyle and heritage specific to locations such as Tuba City, Cameron, Flagstaff, Sedona, Scottsdale, Oak Creek Canyon, Prescott, Gallup, Kiva, Santa Fe, Pueblo, Four Corners, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Tucson, Jerome, Winslow and other Southwestern surrounding areas.

The Navajo, Hopi and the world around them

The fine Navajo artwork of indigenous life and culture of the South West is rarely available outside Indian territories.  Mystic Canyon Studio attempts to bridge that gap by offering Navajo and Hopi artwork globally to those who seek it's beauty.

Mystic Canyon Studio represents participating artists and their fine Navajo art in local galleries, art shows, art exhibits, art fairs, trading posts and special collections world wide.

Native American fine art

The various Navajo artist's of Mystic Canyon Studio, led by Roy, make statements to the world through their expressions in authentic native American Indian artwork.  These artistic statements vary in the form of stone sculptures made with marble, alabaster, soapstone and onyx, to oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings on canvas, lithographs, photographs, etchings, wood carvings, bronze foundries, clay modeling, cultural artwork such as dream catchers and bead works, masks, moccasins and jewelry made with turquoise, coral and jet.

The artists of Mystic Canyon Studio primarily use the abstract, impressionist and expressionist forms of  communication along with different art concepts to express themselves through their special Navajo artwork.

Landscapes and wildlife

Subjects popular to the native Americans at Mystic Canyon Studio include portraying the daily life of humans, animals and their natural environment.  The Navajo artwork reflects the life of the eagle, buffalo, horse and other wildlife working together with cowboys and Indians all in harmony with the surrounding mountains, rivers, streams, and other local monuments, the clouds, sun, moon, stars, and all the plant life within their land of enchantment.  Navajo art at it's finest.
